As an owner 2 Dyson stick vac's I can tell you to save your money. Battery died on one after 2 yrs. The other has terrible suction compared to almost anything else.

You can easily find generic batteries for Dyson, but they all seem to be subpar. I went through 3 in a years time for our V7. They would work great and then just stop; one lasted less than a month. The other issue they present is getting very warm/hot. Then you have to wait 10-20 mins for cool down before you can charge it again. On the flip note, the original Dyson battery lasted for 2 years without issue.

As a owner of two dyson stock vacs and a hand vac, I disagree. All of mine are 4+ years old. No issues with the battery and suction is still great. Just have to clean the filters regularly as recommended

We have both. Cordless is great great everyday quick cleanups and light carpets, but nothing beats a regular plug in vacuum for carpets.

Has LED's so makes it really easy to see things dust/litter/etc..On max it has plenty of power, battery life seems OK but I only clean small areas at a time (have a robo vac that vacuums daily). It can also fit standard size hoses/attachments from other vacuums (nice for cleaning out heater vents, cat trees, upholstery, without breaking out a wired vac).

It does need to be cleaned pretty frequently to keep suction up.
