I bought this last time it was on sale, it's been great. Very good build and if the monitor is heavy then you can adjust the tension hydraulics.
Got 2 plumbing stud plates ($7) & one 2ft 2X4 ($2) at Lowe's, had the Lowes guys cut the 2x4 into 4 6-inch blocks, sandwiched the glass top between one stud plate and 2 of the wood blocks, lined up the other stud plate at the bottom and installed the dual monitor arm using the C clamp installation method.
Sounds like you didn't realize you can adjust the tension on these arms if you have heavier monitors.

Will it be able to hold 32 inch monitors weighting 21 lbs?

No, you can adjust it so it is literally behind your desk, no space taken at all besides where the stand clamps down.

Movement of arms is such that in order to keep monitors farthest from sitting position, monitors will be at a high position.
If you need monitors closer to desk, then the arms tend to move in leaving less desk space.

Wrong. You can literally have them 1 or 2 inches high with maybe 1 to 2 inches of desk space lost. I have this and am doing this as I type this. And FYI, no one needs their monitor that low. Check out an ergonomics video or slide deck, monitor should be higher than an inch or two off the desk. Probably a minimum of 4 inches for most folks.

Seems like you are just going off the photos or promo video for how these work and either don't have them or don't understand how to use them correctly.

I have a dual monitor setup that branches off of a single pole from the same company. It's performed perfectly. Just dial in the correct gas pressure, and you're ready for years of trouble-free use.

Tried and returned a single monitor stand from this brand. It claimed it could hold monitors up to 19.8 lbs but would sag with a monitor that was less than 3 pounds under that. Went with a MOUNTUP that claimed less max weight but had no sag, and better build quality overall.
Did you try tightening it? I have this same brand, but different model and a single for my (3) 32" and I absolutely love them. I've had several folks see my set-up and go purchase the arms themselves.

How does this install if you do not have a squared edge?
It also has a drill through mount. We had to use that on my other half's desk.

Do these provide any benefit over "standard" double monitor arms like this [amazon.com]?
They are more easily adjusted and from what I have seen, these have much better cable control. The arms have covers and hooks so you can keep the cables managed and hidden. I absolutely love my display arms.

A few added bonuses that you may not realize:
1. You get a TON of desk space back. You really do not realize how much room stands take up until they are gone.
2. They are safer and more secure than the stands. As I said, I have (3) 32" displays and I am sometimes a bit clumsy. I was always freaking out if I hit the display while on the stands. On the arms, they just move and I have to re-position. No biggie.
3. If you have a larger desk like mine, you can get a bed tray and with the ease of adjusting the arms, create a sit/stand desk without buying a new desk.
HTH!

Your answer is in the freakin title of the deal. You must one of those that need answers directed towards you otherwise info in general floating around can't be absorbed? Learning disabilities suck, but at this age, you'd think one would have figured it out, they need work at it a bit harder or invest more time on a project try than others.. or in this case. Just read the entire title, it's right there under your nose.

There is a tensioner that needs to be adjusted. Mine holds 2 27" monitors easy
Of course, first thing I tried. Maxed out and would still droop. For reference it was this monitor (https://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-3...Id=6483573) and this stand (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1), which I returned and swapped with this guy and had no issues (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1).

YMMV, but that was my experience.

I really wanted this but have two single monitor arms from the same brand already.

This brand is one of the best for the price range, if not the best.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I have a cheap ikea desk and have been using this for years. I recently switched to their triple monitor stand still using the same desk. It did leave a little mark where it was mounted but the desk is still in perfect condition otherwise. It was holding 2 Dell 27" monitors. Specifically an S2716DG and an S2719DGF.
Use a thin stiff 1/4" plywood or 1/4" aluminum or 1/8" steel plate that is at least 6" deep and 8" wide on the top and bottom of the desk to evenly distribute the clamp's force over a much greater area that just the clamp, then any desk can use this without compromising the desk's structural integrity even if your desk is made of the cheapest presswood or particle board.
