I would suggest avoiding Walmart if you actually want this item. My shipment is still delayed from last time with no update for weeks.

Or get music that was actually recorded originally for vinyl--
Aretha Franklin - Her Ultimate Collection
on 180-gram Red vinyl for
$8.48 Walmart online.
That is almost $10 off original price.

Why?? Listen to an album that was urlhasbeenblockedrded and then transferred to vinyl for no good reason? Listen to digital music digitally.
Buying Dookie on vinyl? Crappy waste of money! Lol

Even if it wasn't recorded in analog (which it likely was on reels back then), the vinyl playback method itself introduces it's own sound (such as more even harmonic distortion, no digital filtering) that many find pleasant (e.g. warmth, smoothness, euphonies) in much of the way you can run a modern digital dac into a tube amp to achieve similar effect.

Thank you for the information. If digital tracks smushed together does indeed sound better on vinyl, I am going to make a new Christmas list! Yay!

Why does every post about vinyl bring out people that want to be the smartest people in the room? If you don't like it or want to buy it, move on. Someone will notify you when the reel-to-reel goes on sale. If you want Dookie though you're pretty much going to have to wait just a bit longer.

Probably sold out quick. The main listing is a 3rd party seller now for me.

To some people they do sound better.

Perfect example recent MoFi scandal, when Mobile Fidelity was lying for years about their vinyl being pressing from analogue, while in fact many of their titles were sourced from digital files. But guess what - none of the analogue purists noticed this, as they were praising MoFi digital music as the best sounding thing under the sun.

When the lie was exposed couple months ago this left a lot of purists scratching their heads.
