Never purchased open box from bb. Thoughts on excellent condition c1 77inch for $1988? Does anyone think there will be ç1 inventory and discounts for black Friday?

Any concern with an open box OLED? Will a display model ever be marked excellent?

Also at least in Chicago, it seems like the $908 ones are "fair" and $980ish is "satisfactory"

If it's a display model, it will have thousands of hours of use

I'd say the "Open-Box Excellent - Certified" for $1100 is the deal here.

"Open-Box Fair
Significant cosmetic signs of use
Vital accessories may be missing"

Sounds scary and most likely will it be a device from the exhibition.

I have an LG OLED65E6P and it has severe burn in due to watching the golf channel, some news stations, and youtube/youtube tv. They have introduced some features on newer lg OLEDs for sure to extend the time before burn in sets in but it will inevitably burn in something if you watch any channel with regularity, its just a matter of time due to the technology. So I would strongly advise against getting a used oled that possibly could have been a display model which surely has burn in. If it were $500 then it might he worth the risk but if you're still dropping a grand its better to get it brand new on black friday for one of the 65"c2 deals around $1500. You get a warranty and a brand new tv with the latest features and zero hours of burn in built up. Im still gonna get another oled for my next tv cuz the picture quality is beautiful for the first 2 years but the burn in sucks when viewing certain content. If you do get one used and want to check for burn in go to youtube and look up a fuscia color screen or red to see if there is any burn in. Those colors show burn in pretty clearly. If its got burn in return it.

Fair is likely the display model and will be missing everything but the power cord. If it was the display model, then it's probably been sitting at the store for a little while now, so check it over/power it on, and see how many hours it's been on.

If there's no burn-in, and it's missing accessories, ask them if they'll lower the price some more. Chances are they'll lower the price just so it's not sitting around taking up space. I'd get the five year warranty too, so tell them you'll be getting the warranty and they'll be even more willing to lower the cost

Bought a 75 LG nano marked excellent a few months ago they had marked as excellent. It was wrapped in bubble wrap. Cancelled the order no problem, but if you're driving a long way it could be a waste of time and gas.. You can try to call but good luck with that.

I purchased an "Open Box-Excellent" 65" C1 a month ago, and it was an awful experience. There was no box, just a massively bubble wrapped 65 inch OLED. After unwrapping the TV at home, I discovered there was no stand and no remote included. I immediately tried to call the store to ask if they had them there, and hopefully negotiate a lower price because this TV was definitely not "excellent", only to discover that it's nearly impossible to talk on the phone with your local Best Buy. Instead, you are routed to the national call center, which is useless.

So I had to drive it back to the store. They returned it no problem, but I decided that buying a C2 new was so much better than this C1 headache.

Buying from Best Buy is great for OLEDs, just get their service plan (it covers burn in). Open boxes are great deals, just check the usage hours before buying. But worst case, if you have the service plan, it will be fixed or replaced if you experience burn in.

I know I have severe burn in also from my LG OLED, after like less than 3 years. It's from Fortnite and in all honesty I didn't even play that much to cause it. Really hesitant to buy OLED again
