I bought a pair @89.99. They performed well using hynix chips.

Well maybe I'll order a set and return if something better comes up BF. This was $75 a little while ago so could go even cheaper by BF.

The 3600 model is also on sale, would the performance benefit be worth the extra $7?

Yes, 3600 cl18 would be faster than 3200 cl16. But Intel chips don't really see that benefit in gaming, but for $7? I'd spring for it.
