Vudu is now owned by Comcast, another very large company (market cap 134 billion dollars). I think Vudu is large enough to survive and prosper under any ownership. You are correct in saying "not much has changed." That's a good thing!!

The steaming console (or tv) makes a very big difference… since the app is not a optimized as Netflix .. slow (or old) processors sometimes have issues with newer versions of the apps
The Samsung TV is only one year old. I had no problems with the other apps on the TV (Apple TV, amazon Prime, MoviesAnywhere) streaming 4K content.
