Just hard to find a much better laptop for $300 (store price) combined with Costco purchase.
Negative is battery life and screen brightness could both use a boost, but i am considering upgrading the one I purchased 4 years ago from Costco.
That's it in a nutshell. Anyone looking for a solid bang-for-your-buck, long-term productivity laptop need look no further unless they're really scouring for a deal (this is as solid a candidate as you can find for the "school/Roblox laptop for kid"/"something for mom/grandma to use Skype"). The CPU is the sleeper 4-core i-series CPU that ensures you'll have years of functional use ahead of you (assuming you don't drop it in a puddle). Don't take the CPU for granted, as plenty of laptops at this price don't package in a CPU this competent.
This isn't a steal for the price, but you're getting what you pay for and what you're getting isn't so bad.

I bought this same laptop 3 days ago for $299 at the store.
$50 is a big distinction at this price point; it might help to validate this (pretty typical for Costco) pricing difference. At $350 this offer is fine assuming nothing else is available. At $300 this deal is within the range of comparable refurb deals.
Good luck!

Update on this... the $299 in-store price is being discontinued, and it is now only being carried online. I drove to a further store because they still had it in stock and was able to get one. Call your local Costco and ask them if they have item # 1587475 on hand, or which stores nearby have it.
