This tactical version of the solar instinct has a higher MSPR for added functions such as night vision optics compatibility and HALO jumping tracker from a plane. If you are a military operator you would find use.

Most every other person could wait for the standard solar instinct version to drop in price to $190 as a historical low and purchase an aftermarket green band to achieve the same look. But it you need to scratch the itch now - this is a good price.

I've had mine for about six months, and really like it. I used it on a 10 day trip, using GPS for walking and hiking for a few days and didn't need a charging at all.

The Instinct 2 Solar Tactical is $250 at Gamestop, but it is out of stock most places. A few people had said they were able to go in store and have them order it for them with shipping. Might give it a try later on.

I looked throught he manual and didn't get an answer, but can I use this for running? I currently wear an old 235 and love it, but the look of this watch is really really nice. I'm certainly not an operator, so the HAHO/HALO settings are a bit surplus to my needs.

The instinct 2 offers even better battery, though this version will last most people over a month in smart watch mode. The instinct 2 also offers nfc payments. I have has this exact model since release and it is great so I have seen no reason to upgrade.

Other than night vision and jump settings witch probably are not useful to most, this version will display Zulu time. That is good even for private pilots. Granted, you may be able to download the watch face for other instincts.
