Seems like this Black Friday is another year of low RAM prices. I paid $100+ for a set of Patriot Vipers 32GB 3600MHz earlier this year.

How would this vs the 3200 kit for $7 less affect performance?

It's a matter of getting your memory timings set to benefit your system. Your motherboard, BIOS and memory have to work together to get the best speed for your applications.

You might want to research what your system will use best, 3200 or 3600 RAM.

I would check Newegg for motherboards. They have a Black Friday Price Guarantee where if you purchase a product and it drops to a lower price, they will automatically refund you the difference. Read more about it here [newegg.com]. New motherboards just released recently as well.

If you are going Intel, then 3200 is fine, if going AMD I would pick 3600...

I'm hoping for a good 13600k + mobo bundle deal, maybe from microcenter. I already ordered a 13600k for $300, but will return if a better bundle deal shows up.

Since I'm going DDR4 what are some good mobo options or chipsets to look out for?

The hardware you have can matter quite a bit. But here is a reference for the basic setup:
