Been bouncing down to this price on and off for a bit now. As far as I can tell, the Apple November releases are off and rumor is that means more likely March for the next Macbook Pro models. No, I'm not counting 13" M2 Macbook Pro as that is just basically an M2 Air with a fan and in a bigger case.

I had been holding out hope for a new line to be released this year but it looks like that is not happening so I think I am going to jump on this or the 16" M1 Pro, which can also be found for $400 off multiple places. It is possible we see a little better deal somewhere for BF, but I think this might be the deal for this year. $400 off now, but the next line will probably see a price bump, so it could end up being $500-$600 less than a new M2 14" Macbook Pro when it is available.

I will add that I think an Amazon Prime credit card could get 5% back on this which is another $80+ depending on model..

The two promotions ran concurrently for a short while, allowing a 2x$1599 -$500 gift card deal. But you're right, this seems to be the best price outside of that deal.

I thought they were not on sale at that time and the deal was spend $2500 at Costco and get $500. 2x$2K -$500 comes out to $1750 each plus you are stuck with an extra and the extra tax. Some were going to higher models which came to over $2500 for one laptop, which is a better deal, but only if you want one of the speced up model. Maybe I'm wrong and they were on sale at that time too, which would have been great deal. That is a sale from spending $2,500 at Costco if I'm not mistaken though, not actually a sale on these laptops. Yes it was used for these models, so I guess that is just dumb semantics, but not really an Apple sale so you are not going to see that just anywhere they are sold.

2021 is just the year of model or the year of Manufacture? Any idea what date these have been MFD or packed for those who purchased recently?

For those bad at math, that's $1,350 per 14" MacBook Pro M1… but you had to buy two (2)… $3,200 + Tax - $500 = still hella expensive

$1350 for a 14" MacBook Pro is actually pretty good from a financial perspective - I bet you could sell it for nearly that much in a year.

Been the same price at Best Buy for months, if you'd rather have a store to return to just in case. Bought it last month for my daughter to do video editing on. Very snappy.

This is now standard price for 14 inch 512 gb variant, many of the retailers are selling these as black friday deal means very unlikely price will drop even further beyond this. Now remember, there is deal on slightly bumped up specced model, 10 core cpu/ 16 core gpu/ 1 tb ssd.. this model mrp 2500 and was 2100 recently. Now that model is at all time low price at 2000. With 400 extra you get extra cpu, extra gpu and additional 512 gb storage. This is lowest price ever.

2021 Apple MacBook Pro (14-inch, Apple M1 Pro chip with 10‑core CPU and 16‑core GPU, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD) - Silver https://a.co/70CTqE8

Also note, discover 5% cashback which means additional 80 - 100$ savings.

It's the model year, the machine itself should be relatively new, like a couple months old from retail source, or a few months old if buying directly from Apple

2 more months until 2023, but there's a rumor that Apple won't release any new mac in 2023 so this is kinda a good deal, but I'd hold until Blackfriday

I'm not sure where you got that rumor, but it does not make sense. Next get Macbook Pro and Max line coming in 2023 for sure.

I bought the 14" M1 pro model when it was new in 2021. I was upgrading from a weary 2012 macbook air. The few cons I'd say is the latest itunes version blows ass and you will occasionally find hiccups with Apple silicon support. Finally, the battery probably hits me 6-8 hours which I wish was longer. Other than that, holy moses I love this thing. Great speed, lots of ports, phenomenal screen. I have a wide 1440p monitor and it doesn't look so great there, unfortunately. My main uses are casual, but I have done some music production and video editing and it runs real quick. I love this thing and I paid more. I also got the 1tb model, which I think should be a minimum.

Why isn't the 16" generally on sale?
