The price drops to $699.99 when bundled with a TV. I have the frame in cart (899.99) plus this sound bar with a free bezel... I may get drunk later and pull the trigger

Insanely good price for best in class product. I ordered one with in store pickup. One tip based on past experience with Samsung in store pickup...find a store where you can pick it up today and once you receive a confirmation go on the same day. Do not let the order sit overnight. Samsung randomly has cancelled multiple in store pickup orders for me when I did not pick up on the same day I received the confirmation (I've received emails ON NOV 1 saying 'since you did not pick up by Nov 3 we have cancelled')

I have this soundbar. Using it for around 3 months for a few hours every day with a QN90A 85" TV in the living room.

For reference, I have compared this soundbar to Sonos, Bose, JBL, and LG. All flagship models with Dolby Atmos. In terms of overall sound quality, the Bose sounded best to me and LG the worst. In music, Bose and Sonos are unparalleled. Samsung is the worst. In movies and TV shows, especially with Atmos content, Samsung was noticeably better. The surround effects are also crazy, very close to the dedicated HT system. Since I was going to use this for movies and TV shows, it was a no-brainer to go for Samsung over others. Samsung was also the cheapest, given that it already came with a sub and surround speakers.

Overall, I am fairly happy with the soundbar. The Q-symphony feature with Samsung TV actually makes a difference. It adds to the soundstage and overall immersion, and would highly recommend trying it out if you have a Samsung TV. Although, I have read mixed responses about it since it depends a lot on your TV speakers. At least QN90A and QN90B in larger sizes (65+) seem to have better than average speakers, so that helps. According to AVForums, it works best with Samsung 8k flagships.

One major issue with this soundbar, though. Sending in uncompressed audio (passthrough) can, at times, cause glitches like audio skips. On my unit, at least every once in a while, the chipset heats up and is no longer able to play lossless audio. HDMI passthrough also stops outputting 10-bit video. The fix is to turn the soundbar off for a few minutes allowing it to cool down. The issue has not been a huge PITA for me to try a warranty replacement which btw sucks. They ask you to ship the whole soundbar with no option for in-home repair or pickup. The soundbar is huge, so makes it difficult to ship.

The very bottom of the Samsung product page (under the reviews -- so very bottom) has a section that outlines free 2-day shipping, a payment plan option, and "buy and try with our new 100-day, risk-free trial".

I bought it. I previously bought it at the Amazon deal for $1200 but I talked to them they have free returns, no restocking fee and you can use whatever box you wish. I will put my Amazon one in this box and send it back for a full refund from Amazon. This saves me $250.

Compared To Other Soundbars
The Samsung HW-Q990B is a premium bar suitable for everything from movies to music to TV shows. It'll please most types of listeners, although it doesn't give the same immersive soundstage as other premium offerings like the Bose Smart Soundbar 900 with Speakers + Bass Module or the Sonos Arc with Sub + One SL Speakers. It's bigger than the Samsung HW-Q930B, with a little more rumble in the bass and added features like additional side-firing drivers in the satellites. If its hefty price tag isn't to your liking, the Q930B is a solid alternative at a more affordable price.

I was on the same boat but picking the Samsung Q800B + picking up rear speakers. I ended up picking up Sonos. If the sound bar is solely for watching TV and own a Samsung tv, I would say Samsung. Otherwise, go with sonos. The phone integration is great and knowing sonos will upgrade software is very reassuring that this won't be obsolete next release cycle like samsung does.

The Sonos Arc with Sub + One SL Speakers and the Samsung HW-Q990B are both premium soundbars with impressive performances, so you can't go wrong with either choice. The Sonos is a 5.1.2 setup with a wider soundstage with stereo content. While the Sonos doesn't bring as much bass right out of the box, you can easily use its bass and treble adjustments to get a similar response to the Samsung. That said, it doesn't have as many channels as the 11.1.4 Samsung. Given the additional up-firing drivers on the Samsung's satellites, you notice more sound effects in the space around you.

Employer discount gets me to show this price but without it, still $1299. Also did anyone notice the 910B is $559? That might be the even slicker deal here
