The ultra is the extra cost for the stainless steel case, the higher quality crystal, and the extended battery. I'd say it depends upon how close they get on cost. Any killer Ultra deals this BF season?
Best I've seen for an Ultra is $779 on Amazon, so that's still almost $300 more expensive. The price differential needs to be a whole lot closer for "you might as well get an Ultra" to be true right now.

I hope so , I have woman wrists so unfortunately not me for
Isn't this still $200+ cheaper than an Ultra on sale? The main issue with the Ultra is that it's an inelegant design. It's a rugged watch that dominated the wrist whereas a stainless Apple Watch is dressier and probably makes more sense in office work settings.
From the standpoint of features (especially battery life), I can understand moving up to that, though. They're really for different people. At work, I typically use a thinner case and a simpler watch, during my free time I might carry something chunkier.
I am debating about the two, already have a SS S4 which is awesome. Problem with the Ultra for me is the bands look terrible and some reviews I read/saw for them also say they are not great and the normal bands look off on the Ultra. Also, the SS is an everyday watch, work, home, sports. The ultra fails the work (office) category.
