If you're trying to look beyond the jokes, this thing is dog shit when pouring footings or walls. This is one of the few tools still out there that benefit from having a cord

No, definitely not required for stairs. Wouldn't hurt to go over it with with a hammer as well tapping it along the forms really well.

Just to be clear the insertable length is not the full 4'. It's that long so you can stand back from the splash zone but I prefer to get dirty myself when using.
