Came because I have no idea what a Korg Volca is. Sort of what Slickdeals is about. Finding things you didn't know you needed that are on sale and buying them. Thumbs up.
I just spent some time trying to find the best deal and ended up going with the sample2, bass, and drum (free) for $235 after tax or around $78 each at AMS.
Prices are the same across all approved sites but stock is different on all of them. It may be tricky to get what you want in stock at the time of purchase, but if you can, the best price seems to be AMS using a $20 coupon, or Musician's Friend if you could use the $20 cashback rewards anyway. To get the $20 AMS coupon you can either sign up for marketing texts or use a first-time referral link like mine: https://refer.americanmusical.com/wydpf
If what you want isn't in stock, waiting may help. The sample2 was showing coming soon earlier today but showed in stock tonight and I was able to checkout with it. The idea being that if you want the sample2 and drum/beats, the sample2 should be the one you purchase at $110, since the free drum/beats would both be $130. But the sample2 is not in stock everywhere!
The absolute slickest deal would be to only purchase the $110 options such as the mixer, kick drum, or sample2, and along with the $20 coupon get 3 for $200 before tax, roughly $72 each after tax…
Keys, Bass, Drum, and Sample2 have quite good reviews.
FM and Modular are very interesting if you want to explore those workflows/sounds. FM is compatible with Yamaha DX7 patches from the 80s/early 90s, which you can load on it using free software. Modular is a West Coast-style synth, so good for plucky/plonky sounds (and patchable with jumper wires, for deep exploration without menu diving).
FM2 purchases are apparently not eligible for the promotion though, so watch out for that (FM2 is mostly what's in stock today).
Kick is the least versatile, and NuBass doesn't have as many good reviews. Beats only if you want a retro-style analog drum machine, but Drum is much more versatile.

this is a hell of deal too bad most people that have volcas already have a few. Already have the sample and beats, not sure i really want the drums. Only other one I really want is the nubass.

Nice deal! Where are you seeing that it has to be "fully price"? I just see that it can't be a refurb or used unit, and it must be "In stock at time of purchase".

I honestly have no idea why I wrote fully priced. I think my brain just meant new.
Note it also needs to be from an authorized retailer. Best I can tell there are no authorized Amazon retailers but I could be wrong

looks like a cool deal, not too crazy about the mail in rebate situation to get the free one though, really wanted to try these out, I might bite, not sure yet, already have alot of other stuff to get to.
