My S22's battery life improved a lot with the latest update. It barely drains when it is off now. Absolutely love the phone. It is so much lighter than any other flagship level phone I have come across. I also have an S22 Ultra that is a total brick in comparison. Even my now returned Pixel 7 Pro was too heavy compared to my S22.
Yeah I read the One UI 5.0 update was supposed to improve the battery life but I have not noticed a difference.

I guess my other pause is if the S23 comes with a better battery and moves to 5x optical zoom.

Depends on what you are trading in. For an iPhone 11, BB is better as they are offering $525 instead of $484 at Google Store, but the problem is that you can no longer trade in an iPhone 11 at BB as they don't allow trade ins with a higher value than the phone you are buying, so the $499 Pixel 7 can't be bought with an iPhone 11 trade in at BB unfortunately. For an S21 trade in, BB is only offering $330, but Google Store is offering $489.
Best Buy is offering $400 for the S22 but Google is offering $590.

Wow, the iphone 7 plus is the only phone not on the trade list. Bummer. Anyone have the same issue with the 7plus? I tried just the 7 and it gives me a good trade in value of $248, but afraid they will not honor, even though the plus is an upgrade to the 7.

Yeah, I will also trade in my S22 for an S23 most likely.Definitely not trading it in for a Pixel 7. I bought a Pixel 7 Pro 256gb when it first launched and immediately sold it as it felt half baked at best. My S22 is just a better phone overall, and surprisingly, the selfie camera was utter trash on the Pixel 7 Pro compared to my S22, which was the fatal flaw that made me get rid of the Pixel

I wouldn't trade in my S22 even for $590. Samsung should offer at least that much when they launch the S23 series. Also, with the upcoming economic downturn, we will see some sweet deals from phone makers to entice buyers. Looking forward to the S23 launch in Feb.

I got the pixel 7 about 10 days ago, and got the price match for the $100 drop today from google. I also ordered the google case for it, just be aware, I have 1st gen pixel chargers, and the phone often does not charge with the case on, I like the case (even though its 3x what I normally would pay for one) but having to take the case off to wirelessly charge is a pain.

Also note, any one buying should look to reddit, or pm friends for a referral code to get an extra $100 back, this is the step I missed when I ordered and cant do anything to correct at this point (but I did sign up to be a 'pixel superfan'

For those looking for any price match adjustment - you have 15 days from when your phone arrived. I received my phone 22 days ago and I got no where when talking to a rep. I'm trying to escalate the issue but I don't think I'll be successful

I wanted to trade my 7 Plus in too so I chatted with them the other day about it. The rep took a few minutes to look over the trade in device list and said it wasn't on there. It was definitely on there for pre orders and shortly after launch day

I want to trade in my Pixel 6 Pro that I still have about 1 year of promo credits from Verizon to pay it off. Will I lose all those credits? I am not planning on leaving Verizon for the next year.

Is it worth upgrading from Iphone 11 pro to pixel 7?
I don't know about iPhone 11 Pro to Pixel 7, but last month I moved from iPhone 11 to Pixel 7 Pro!

(I did the Best Buy deal which I think is still the best deal we've seen -- they have me $490 for the iPhone 11 with no contract or switching required, plus a $200 gift card, plus I earned BB rewards).

The important question is whether you want to leave the Apple ecosystem. I've been threatening to do it for a decade and finally pulled the trigger. I promised to give myself a month before drawing any definitive conclusions, but here's what I know:

1) The Pixel 7 Pro is really nice hardware.
2) I am thrilled to have finally pulled the trigger and even happier that I'll never give Apple another dime.
3) iOS and Android have both matured and are both excellent. Switching the basics (email, contacts, messages, etc) isn't hard but if you use a ton of apps it will take some time to get everything set up again.
4) There are pros and cons to both. You may miss iMessage and Facetime but if you want to be able to customize your experience more you will love what you can do with Android.
5) I'm thrilled to have switched from apple watch at the same time. There are a lot of great Android watches that work better and cost less. And USB for everything!

There are a million other little differences that I'm getting used to and trying not to judge. For example I hated that all three buttons were on the same side of the pixel. It felt confusing compared to iPhone. Then I realized that I could prop the phone up in landscape mode and still adjust volume without accidentally pressing the button on the other side. Now I love it Send me a pm if you'd like more on the pros and cons.

Pixel 6a vs Pixel 7. Can't decide which one to get. I have an iPhone 7 that I will be trading. $245 trade in value. Is pixel 7 worth it for $200 more. I am mainly worried about overheating because my 6 pro gets warm with regular tasks.

YMMV but I called VZW a few weeks and asked this very question about my phone which has about 10 months left....and the agent said the credits are with the LINE and not the DEVICE, so as long as my line stays active, I can change the devices and the credits will continue. Hopefully this is how it works in reality.

Honestly these deals are a little disappointing after seeing Google's big marketing dollars push upon the 7's launch.

Pixel 7: Has been available with trade-in values for a significant period of time for net cheaper than this

Pixel 7 Pro: Mint deal at $499+plan has been in and out for over a week now, plenty of time to grab one (including now)

Pixel 6a: Was literally just $299 for over a week straight from google store

A-series buds: Were just $50 at Target last week

Hub: Same price it's been before

I don't know..a little underwhelming for me.
The biggest change over previous offers is the trade-in value of my pixel 6 Pro increased from $480 to $550.
