Third party both times. Amazon is just contracting these out but the third party definitely don't do a good job
It's sold and shipped by Amazon. It's totally Amazon's fault, they are contracting with them and they are responsible for the product.
But I don't even mind the broken tv. But the whole process of returning and their CS reps just not giving a shit is a bigger issue

Every product I've ever had delivered that was damaged/missing/whathaveyou has always been replaced with no questions asked

Lol no. I've been a prime member since 2013, and order thousands dollar worth every year. I hate returning stuff.
Mine is a long story. But cliff notes. Bought the lightning deal, $2k. Tv was damaged. Called and they couldn't do a straight replace. Told me they will need to cancel my order, return the damaged tv. Then I should order a new TV at higher price and they will price adjust once I got the TV. They then sent me an email with stating they will price adjust once I get the new tv. Just call them. Even listed price of the TV ($2000) that they would price adjust. Well now the CS reps don't want to do it. And if I ask for someone higher than them they just hang up :/
I filed a dispute with card company so hopefully it gets resolved.
Just sharing my experience. Amazon is great for small stuff but I would never buy any big ticket item from them again.

I always do all the communication online thru chat. This way there is a record of what they promised.

The crazy part is I DO have communication of what was promised. They can see it too. But they just won't honor it now. It's crazy. I felt like I was going crazy talking to their CS reps.

If you do not have any charge on your card, just cancel the card and get a new number.
I remember compu-direct , they used to take orders and they never ship and charge you 10% re-stocking fee if you were to cancel . They even blamed me that I have received the item and disputed my charge-back request.

I cancelled the order. They had already charged me but refunded within a few days.
