Just keep in mind that if you travel with it, add your own padding, as the pieces are not cushioned and will rub and bang against each other, resulting in scratches and finish wear.

It's also 20lbs, so keep that in mind for portability.

Not to say don't buy it. I bought one.

They look uncomfortable

It's at a weird slant/angle that can't be too comfy for long, and the rope texture feeling must be annoying

The first thought that came to mind when I saw "rope chair" was that scene in Casino Royale… definitely not comfortable sounding to me.
