There are several reviews on Amazon mentioning that the fan on this unit is loud and undersized. Also several noting a failure around the 1 year mark with very little help from the manufacturer. 🤷 Play at your own risk.

Bought one as a spare. I haven't had a PSU fail in about 20 years so no idea why I needed a spare, but that's SD for you.

Thanks OP!

I've had this PSU in my PC for 5-6 years now. Powering and older Skylake i7 and 1080ti everyday of it's life with no issues

Nice! Been needing an upgrade. Good timing.
Surprised that MIR is at Amazon. Normally Newegg only.

I believe the PSU Cultists give this PSU a C grade. C may not sound great, but I think they are particular about A and B grades. At least this isn't an E (Avoid) or F (Replace immediately).

You speak my language... I checked how much I would pay for a PSU today to replace a sudden dead one... and in about 5 minutes I decided that having a spare for $30 it is not a bad idea!

Now the question is, how onerous is their process, how many denials to expect.

So almost fanless? Kinda like slightly pregnant?

... mmm This one or the 550W for $21 after MIR.
It would be spare for me too, so can't justify a 750W which I never needed.

Nice price but still a no-go with reviews like this:

Had an annoying rattling on my new build and finally tracked the source down to the PSU. The PSU fan rattles / vibrates every time it starts-up.

With the semi-fanless feature, the fan spins up about every 10-15 minutes and you hear a rattle or as some reviewers described it a gurgle or crackling sound. I wish I had tracked down the source of the noise within Amazon's return window, based on other reviews this seems like a common issue with this PSU but it's buried in semi-positive reviews.

Sound aside - it was easy to install and seems to be delivering power consistently but I would not recommend buying this unit.

It's a nice price, but I have to admit I'm not a fan of how rebates are starting to pop up again.
