Great price on a quality wireless headset. I've tried a few headsets in the $100 range and couldn't find any without issues with mic quality, feedback, etc. except for these. I've had them for a year and a half now and they work just as well today as when I bought them.
Really doesn't matter at all. USB-C is nice for a charging cable, since you can more easily plug it in while it's still on your head without fumbling with it as much, but that's such a minor issue it shouldn't even factor into which headset you buy. Comfort, sound quality, mic quality, and connectivity are significantly more important.
You aren't wrong that generally, for the same total price, you'd get better sound and mic quality from standalone headphones and a separate mic. But for a completely wireless solution with no lag, you have to have a dedicated 2.4GHz receiver, something that essentially all "gaming" headsets use, while essentially all non-gaming wireless headsets use bluetooth. Bluetooth is okay enough for listening to music or watching movies, but the added delay and often unreliable connection makes it a bad choice for gaming. If you don't believe me, just try a bluetooth keyboard - it's miserable for gaming.

Bought this from the prior Walmart deal (same price). Recommend it. It's comfortable, sounds good, works with my PC, PS5, and PS4. It replaced my PS4 Gold Headset. Charged it once and still haven't needed to charge. Playing for about 2-3 hours 3 times a week. For the past 2, maaybe 3 weeks. I'd buy it again.

Only con is that it uses micro-usb to charge. I know some people care about that but for me I don't mind.
Why do they write usb-c dongle? Is that a gimmick?

The receiver/dongle is USB-C. The headphones themselves are micro-usb.

I got this on the last $50 deal, works well.

The dongle that transmits wireless signal to the headset is USB-C. It also comes with a USB-C (F) to USB-A (M) adapter cable for connecting to phones with cases (or anything else the dongle doesn't fit flush with).

Does anyone have experience using this as a work headset and conferencing?
Yes, it works great. Been using for over a year for teams/zoom on laptop and phone. Be mindful of placement as it may block nearby ports as it is rather wide. You can use a USB-A to USB-C adapter though and still zero issues. Slim phone cases only near USB-C phone input though.

For those complaining about micro-usb charging (since this device does use a USB-C dongle) Why haven't you bought one of these Powerline 3-1 cables during a SD over the past 5+ years? Mine is almost always in USB-C mode but having micro and iPhone charging in a blue moon makes the cable 100% useful over the last 4.5 years. Keep one in the car and travel bag. They hold up well and then you don't have to carry around those pesky antiquated cables while still always being prepared.

Gaming headsets are a gimmick. Get regular headphones and a microphone for better audio quality.

Good music headphones will allow you to hear the game environment better. Good microphones will allow your voice to be heard better.

Gaming headsets are garbage versions of both.

Well I hate to disagree. To a certain price it makes sense to me. Let's say $100. You get a good sounding headphones that connects to both your PC and console and to your phone (people like to game on phones too apparently). Okay then comes a mic and done. Okay. So up till this point any cheap $30 headphones will do and a good mic for another $20. Now when it comes to gaming over Bluetooth, there's noticable lag and if you want stereo sound with mic, say goodbye to Bluetooth. Here comes 2.4g wireless tech. You gotta use this if you want lag free (not competitive but just decent experience).

So with all that you're already close to a $100. Why not look for a deal on a pair of gaming headsets that costs $150 on a regular day but you can pick it up for way less that $100 during sale. Less headache. Sorry for the rant.

Just got this one from the store btw, it's better than my old Sony wired headsets paired with a lapel mic.

Yeah, I've done this and know the pain.
