It does NOT expire 12/9/22 - iIt expires 30 days after issuance...you don't need to receive an email from Amazon to take advantage of the offer..you also dont need to make a purchase using Venmo..you just link your Venmo account as a payment method set it as your primary payment method and you get the promotional credit immediately. After that you can delete Venmo as your payment method.

My membership just ended and the credit still exists. You can still use it on things like S&S orders which don't require a membership.

Credit won't show up in "Gift Card Balance" for your Amazon Account. To confirm the $10 credit, just add something to your cart and start the checkout process; you should see the credit automatically applied towards the order before confirming purchase.

Try to buy something. If you have the credit, you'll see it at checkout. Just make sure the item is sold and shipped by Amazon.

The $10 credit confirmation was shown on-screen at the end of the promo process + I also received an email confirmation that said I received the $10 promo credit and had successfully added Venmo to my Amazon account.

the credit comes immediately it will tell you on screen as soon as you set venmo as your prefferred payment method and you will also get an email confirmation

After adding, it asked if I wanted it to be my default payment. I selected No and got the message that the $10 credit was added to my acct.

No, you don't need to pay with Venmo to se the credit.

It's the non-bank version of Zelle to transfer money from person to person/company.
Unlike Zelle, Venmo transfers CAN be disputed and reversed despite what they say, unlike Zelle, so watch out when transferring money to/from unknown people.
