Can anyone comment on the ability to configure parameters for Deco routers as compared to Netgear Orbi or other Wi-Fi mesh routers? I.e. does it expose more of the configuration it its menus, or is it fairly basic?

Deco routers are similar to Orbi, they are configurable through the Deco app, however the configurations are limited. DNS, IP Range, WiFi (WiFi 3 personal supported) are configurable.

Super basic. Most of it is done through the app. This is basically plug and play and for less tech savvy people to set up. If you know some networking, this barebones options and control is going to feel incredibly limiting especially for the price they charge.
