PSA: Starting January 22, 2023, Citi Costco Visa cardholders will no longer have extended warranty on purchases made with the card.

Sadly Costco did not believe the higher fees Amex was charging was worth it to them. Their warranty protection covered me twice and their fraud division was top notch. Costco is making decisions that concern me long term.

That's what I'm saying! For the cost of the executive membership you have a card with the % cash back that you'd normally have to pay upwards of $400 annually for.

Both Chase Freedom Flex and Unlimited offer 1 year extended warranty if the product is purchased fully on the card. Unlimited gives you 1.5% on all purchaces and flex gives you 5% on rotating categories.

This card was sh*t to begin with...Citi is sneaky..... It wont show how many % cash back you received for each transaction. It only shows it by spending category at the end of the statement. There are many transactions where i should've received 3% for Travel but i only received 1% but i cant exactly tell which transaction/s
Probably the only reason why i will continue to keep this card is for 4% cashback on Gas

Maybe this was on the cards. Many TVs at Costco come with additional warranty these days. Same with Sams.

It would still be hard to beat the low gas price plus 4% cash back. I am using the Chase Amazon Visa for filling gas at Costco this quarter though due to the 10% cash back.

There's always citi custom cash for gas. And right now 10% back with Amazon prime visa card (offered by chase) which makes this card more or less a Costco only card.

seem like no credit card company can stay with Costco for long.

First it was Amex, now Citi starts taking away benefits, until Costco escorts Citi out the door
