Pretty disappointed in this extended warranty change because it was one of the main reasons we got the card this year. I already have a card that's 2% cash back and I can cash it out anytime I want so this really makes the Costco card not worth after this goes into effect in January. If I'd have had any idea they were doing this I wouldn't have gotten the card because it really made it an extra benefit to have on larger purchases. Once our 4% gas benefit runs out we likely stop using it altogether.
4% on eligible gas, for the first $7,000 per year and then 1% thereafter

"4% Cash back on eligible gas worldwide, including gas at Costco for the first $7,000 per year and then 1% thereafter."
And the $5 rotisserie chicken!

Common misconception. The insurance you get for free/automatically, even on the Platinum cards, is secondary. You must opt in to premium car rental protection and pay something like $20 a rental to get primary protection. Still worth it though.
Got links to credit cards with similar cash back and no annual fee as the 2023 Citi Costco Visa where the interest isn't insane?

I wonder what's next?
- Worldwide Car Rental Insurance
- No Foreign Transaction Fees
Doesn't look good.It is primary at least for Chase Sapphire. Chase Sapphire CDW is primary. Link from chase [chase.com] Look under the travel benefits.
From Chase page:
(Auto Rental Collision Damage Waiver
Decline the rental company's collision insurance and charge the entire rental cost to your card. Coverage is primary and provides reimbursement up to the actual cash value of the vehicle for theft and collision damage for most rental cars in the U.S. and abroad.)

I saw this on The Points Guy wesbite. You can log into the app to check the changes to the updated terms when you see the pop-up, or follow the instructions in the article.
From the article:
"You'll also notice that the left side of the image above shows two different benefits guides for cardholders: one that's effective now through Jan. 22, 2023, and another guide that takes effect on that date. And while the notice I received in the mail and on Citi's website mentioned only my Costco Anywhere Visa card, a spokesperson for Citi confirmed this benefit will also be removed from the Costco Anywhere Visa Business card.
