Also pay attention to the terms - most other cards including Chase only extend warranty by 1 year to the maximum of 3 years. Meaning, if your TV already came with 3 years manufacturer warranty, your Credit card adds nothing.
Amex adds 1 year to a max of 5 years.
Citi adds 2, to a max of 5. And had a special arrangement with Costco where with additional extended warranty (eg. Square trade), you could get as much as 7 years total coverage.
Please do realize that an extended warranty is exponentially more important as the product ages - eg. it's more likely to fail during the 3rd year, compared to during the 2nd.
Considering all that, I think the Costco Visa card offered an excellent, above-average extended warranty coverage of any card out there, better than even the premium ones like Amex Platinum - and I'm sad to see this go.
Having said that, can someone confirm if the Citi Premier ($95 annual fee) card continues to offer this extended warranty? Might be worth taking a look if so.
I hear ya, still ok for travel but great for gas. Loss of warranty extension is a bummer
Years ago they used to have price match guarantee but when it got popular they took it away which couldn' could be the story with the extended warranty. Amex has removed it from it Blue card also.

One of the reasons for me is primary rental car insurance coverage... Not a lot of others do primary
This is the credit card company. I lost warranty protection on my other Citi cards as well.

You must have a qualifying balance of at least:
$20,000 for the Gold tier
$50,000 for the Platinum tier
$100,000 for the Platinum Honors tier
$1,000,000 for the Diamond tier
$10,000,000 for the Diamond Honors tier
It's not clear anywhere in the Citi web site or PDF document downloadable. I purchased a Apple Mac Mini M2 with my Citi Costco card yesterday (before the 1/21/23 cutoff). My order receipt is dated as ordered 1/18/23. My CC has been charged for a temp charge only. Will this qualify for the extended warranty? Apple won't charge till they ship the item so the charge won't come until after 1/21/23
Citi's site says "no longer be provided for purchases made on or after January 22, 2023". The purchase was made on 1/18/23 but the charge doesn't come through until a week or so later.
Please help!! (and quote me if you're responding!)

That said, if you have a receipt dated 18 Jan I would imagine that would trump all other dates (personal opinion that carries no weight for enforcement purposes).
