This seems like a pretty good deal. This is equivalent to the Costco HW-Q7CB but with the rear speaker kit included. At Costco it's 350 so once you add the rear speaker kit that brings it to $500. Good find OP.
If you buy Q700B + SWA9500S you can achieve 5.1.4 Atmos , plus the 9500S rear are twice the size of 9100S, they have 3 dedicated drivers for Front, Side and Up streams compared to one driver in 9100S. 9500S are real speakers.

Are these back speakers supposed to reflect sound off your ceiling? Is that very effective? Seems like ideally you want atmos speakers in the ceiling firing down.

Are the back speakers supposed to reflect up off your ceiling? How effective is that with these speakers? Seems like ideally you want atmos speakers in the ceiling firing down.
I think it is down to size of your room where the sound can bounce from ceiling back and your sound perfection taste. There are reviews confirming that the ATMOS on latest Samsung bars works and that is indeed a tangible experience but it is not the same as dedicated ceiling Atmos speaker.
For those with smaller rooms , smaller budget and inability to retrofit wired Atmos set , it should be a valid option.

Most folks who buy soundbars are a different demographic from audiophiles who will snake speaker wires to the ceiling or even halfway up a wall. Similarly, if you have down firing atmos speakers, you're running an AV receiver and not somehow pairing those to a soundbar. So yes, down firing atmos speakers are better but that's a tiny fraction of people who will go that route vs those who just want the simplicity of a soundbar.
I just don't want one with rear speakers and really not even one with a separate subwoofer. i am in a smalla partment and I have even been happy enough with a built insubwoofer in my yamaha receiver, but it broke.
So i am thinking about sonos arc or sonos beam 2 since they are all in ones (if you don't want to add anything). But arc so crazy expensive and the beam people say is nowhere near the level of arc, but maybe for my apartment it would be good enough...
I picked one of these up a couple weeks ago. For the money and ease of setup I think it's pretty solid. I wanted the 990B but just couldn't justify the price.
