I use the utility knife about 3 years straight in a warehouse and it didn't fail on me. Towards year 3, the locking mechanism to hold it close/open got a bit weak. But that was 3 years of daily use. Definitely worth it at this price.

The utility knife is worth the price alone. It has held up to daily use cutting boxes for many years, so long as it is not abused. Consider the sport knife a bonus if you need one. Best thing at this price is the lifetime warranty. If it breaks, return it to HD for replacement.

The utility knife is worth the price alone. It has held up to daily use cutting boxes for many years, so long as it is not abused. Consider the sport knife a bonus if you need one. Best thing at this price is the lifetime warranty. If it breaks, return it to HD for replacement.

A version of that Sporting knife is my favourite carry around blade for everything and anything. Open boxes, cut cordage, open packages... just a solid knife to have on you.

I've been looking for an EDC knife and every time I did research, I fell into the pocket knife rabbit hole and always ended up with some $100+ knife in my shopping cart...after thinking it through, I would close my browser and not buy anything. Finally bit the bullet today.
