Note, the 17" model is also on sale at BestBuy for $100 more. Though, it's not a QHD screen, it's IPS 360Hz 1920 x 1080 (Full HD). Is an extra inch (har har) worth giving up QHD?

I don't know why some companies do this but maybe it's for younger buyers. I NEED the 17" but appreciate the higher res. Yes, the 1080p is awesome for my eyes but I also need the extra resolution for productivity and on a 17" it's manageable, not on a 15.6 or 14". Urgg.

Too bad no open box for either version though. I have been watching for deals on a high end 17" laptop.

Ya, I'm seriously considering this. It hits all the notes. 12th Gen i7, QHD display, 3070 Ti, Thunderbolt, BT 5.2, HDMI 2.1, per key backlit keyboard. All for $1500. I'd consider it an instant buy if it came with 32GB of RAM.

I would prefer the 17" monitor. Yes, you can always connect it up to an external monitor, but then that makes the nice per key backlit keyboard useless, since you'll be keeping the laptop closed to use with another monitor, unless it for a dual display config.

None for local pickup for either models otherwise I would have gone and grab it Smilie Doesn't hurt that returns are extended if I eyes can't adjust.

I was looking at the delivery time. Amazon shows a Jan. 1 delivery date, and BestBuy appears to be an 8 day delivery time.
