These things are tiny. I bought some last sale. Like too small to throw. Might be great to put in a survival kit with some leather or twine to strap to a dowel rod or stick as a spear point, but the average person isn't going to be able to throw this to kill any small game and that was what I thought I was buying for my go pack. It's too light and too small to accurately yield as a throwing knife. I'm keeping them for the same reason I can't use them as a throwing knife. Small and light and attached to a stick or staff they'd make a decent weapon point. I would not have purchased aside from an impulse purchase based on the size if I'd have looked at the user submitted pictures, but now with the alternate use case in mind, I'm glad I did.

Thanks for the heads up! It looks like 8 inch ones are available for $5.59. [amazon.com]
One thing I learned from buying a throwing spike as a dumb teenager is to not buy things like this that are painted black. Buy them in silver or hit them with some bright spray paint.
Black throwing knives/throwing stars/etc are way harder to see when you miss and they end up in the grass. Additionally, you need to search until you find it because if you leave one behind to get by a lawnmower it could be a very bad day.
