This has come and gone for a couple weeks now. So don't feel pressured. I've seen some people comment that the heat complaints aren't as bad as some reviewers report too.

The 12th gen of course. That isn't even a question.

Wonder what kinds of FPS this would pull on Fortnite 1080p/1440p? Anyone familiar?

Its near-identical so go for the lower priced one. If the prices are the same then go for the MSI.

Also, the performance difference between the proc generations is trivial and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Damn near anything will run perfectly @ 1080p
Most things will run well @ 4K

Doesn't seem like a bad deal for the price, but why is the one being sold by Amazon taking over a month to get delivered

I have a similar Asus desktop, the overheating issues are exaggerated. The PC will be loud and not perform well in it's current build. If you are going to use it for gaming and plan on using for any extensive amount of time, you should upgrade the CPU cooler, the one fan, and add a couple more. The cooler can't keep the CPU cooler enough to prevent the CPU from throttling continuously, so you are loosing performance since it will drop to keep it cool as possible. The rear fan will be continuously loud to get air out because it's too small to get enough air out. The design is very inefficient, Dell XPS if better if you can grab one. If you do get this PC like I did after replacing the cooler and adding 2 fans to the front and 2 to the back it's much better, quieter and performance is much better. Before I was hitting 99 degrees continuously, now I am maxed at 80, mostly in the 70s. You can also save a couple bucks by getting the i5 version which also use less power and more efficient. From the link you have to look at other sellers for the $739 i5.

I have an 11700 65W and 3060rtx 12gb on a dyi build. Older games at 1440p on my Samsung g7 240hz run great, many can get close to max out at medium to high settings. If this ones cpu is the std watt then good deal if the low watt still okay.

Ahhh yes, the reports of over heating is false, but the ones telling us the heat isn't too bad are the ones to pay attention to. lol

Says the overheating issues are exaggerated, then writes a novel on how to mod it just to get it barely acceptable at 80. Lmfao.

If you're playing at competitive setting this should absolutely crush it.
