Note that the 2-pk 3-way switch can be used separately each with a regular 3-way switch too. It is not the case for the dimmer version though.
I have three of these installed at my house. Very responsive. No issues at all. As you pointed out, only have to change out one of the two regular 3-way switches. I thought about getting the dimmer version but if it requires changing out both 3-way switches then I probably won't do it. Too much hassle

Do you know if the Kasa (either non dimming or dimming) smart switches will work in a 4way circuit? With a regular 4 way switch in the middle? I know Lutron is going to have something soon with the Caseta diva models..

I could not get the Kasa 3 way switch to work in 4 way circuit in the middle. I ended up leaving the dumb 4 way switch alone.

Yes this works but only if you replace the last switch in the string, which should be a 3-way physically wired to your load. I've got one on three different switch circuits.

Sold out on egg but Amazon has it for the same price:
Kasa Smart 3 Way Switch HS210 KIT, Needs Neutral Wire, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi Light Switch works with Alexa and Google Home, UL Certified, No Hub Required, 2-Pack https://a.co/d/3RtYnwZ
I've used the same Kasa switch and only need to swap out a single 3-way switch in the setup like others pointed out. Works even with an analog dimmer on the other end, just when it's dimmed too low the Kasa goes wonky. Also works when you replace the 3-way switch in a 4-way setup. Still works after years later.

worked perfectly in my case. I have 2 3-way kasa switches and a regular 4way in the middle.
So the 3 way switch works fine on the outside of the circuit? So you have smart switch-dumb 4way- dumb 3way- light ?
My current setup: dumb 3way-dumb 4way-smart 3way to load.
Edited: Hopefully this explains a bit more about my setup. I made a decision that I didn't need to spend more $ on the 1st dumb 3way. If you want "the same look" of switches around certain areas, you can swap the 1st dumb one with a smart one…

Would others recommend Kasa?
Looking to swap out 10-15 switches for smart switches, some with motion sensing.
Is this the best brand to invest in?
