Otherwise, I'd note that Step into Reading produces fine books outside of this discount box set. If seeing a familiar property helps encourage your child to read then I'd actually encourage you to look at some of the associated Ready to Read book titles. However, besides the small, low-quality of the books in this particular deal, I was also frustrated with one of the feature items highlighted in the photo reviews wherein "Paw Patrol words" are elevated alongside sight words, blends, and the vowel sounds practice words as if they were somehow critical to the purpose of the books.
Overall the selection of phonics readers in the market is amazing. The Usborne phonics series worked well for my little reader (though some buyers may be rightfully turned off by the MLM method used to distribute them here in the U.S.), but there are great reviews online breaking out how different phonics reader series might appeal to different readers. If you shop these like I do, you try one or two out (if possible via the local library) then just commit to a set.
Good luck!
Jon
My son loves reading, cheese, and the Associated Television Property PAWPatrol!

I have this set and it's not bad for the price. Would recommend.

I own a preschool with many paw patrol fans but I don't want to buy them for beginning readers if they have words with long vowels, silent e, or other things beginning readers don't know yet.
