2.6 qts is a massive rice cooker. I don't know what the real minimum usable amount is, but unless you're always making rice for an army, I don't know if this would be practical for normal usage.

Wouldn't it be faster for you to just read the specs?

So rice shrinks after cooking?
Reading comprehension?

No dude. You put a max. capacity of 7 cups of uncooked rice in it and then that expands to 14 cups of cooked rice.

This looks like it came from the same factory that makes the Aroma basic rice cooker

Good call out.The picture is deceiving, because there are smaller 3-cup cookers that look identical. You could probably do 3 cups in this one just fine, which may still be a bit too much for 1 or 2 people (unless you want leftovers), but it is definitely a larger family-sized cooker.

This. The Aroma models come in a bunch of sizes with the exact same design. The 6 cup (cooked) model from Aroma is $17.63 but significantly more usable as it is human scale, the post here is a solid value if…well you are an Asian restaurant. . https://a.co/d/fuRPvdD

I've had this rice cooker for many years. It's small sizes does make it easier to clean. The keep warm feature is not great though. Since the lid does not have a seal around it the rice will become dry in a few hours. One of the best things about most rice cookers is you can keep rice warm for many hours.

10 bucks isn't bad though.

I think website is saying 7 cups of dry uncooked rice is the max+ 7 cups of water makes 14 cups.

In their defense, the Mfr should lead with this info, as that's how rice cookers are traditionally (as well as 'almost always' currently) denoted/described.

Indeed, this is one of the few rice cookers on Best Buy's website that is described by something other than 'cups'.

Here is the BB link for the 'Rice Cookers' category:
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/stea...9100050003

If you look at the limiters on the left-hand sidebar, along with things like Price and Brand, Rice Capacity (Cooked) is one of the main limiters… and the unit of measure used is (quite correctly) 'Cups'.

Edit:
This is definitely a first-world-problem, but I will also add that it's 'infuriating' (ok, maybe just 'annoying') when mfrs do two things with rice cookers:
1.) list/denote them in anything other than 'cups' (the next most-common units are quarts and liters);
2.) use the wrong 'cups' (e.g. the metric, standard, or imperial measure/definition of cups as opposed to the [smaller] traditional cup size for rice cookers).

Edit2:
For more on that second point, interested parties should see this excellent article/post:
