Recently I've been disappointed with Direct Tools Outlet.
Ever since they raised the shipping cost to $15, I've been unable to find tools (that I'm interested in) at prices (after shipping) that beat Home Depot.
I've also noticed that their prices (before shipping) are occasionally higher than Home Depot.
Either it will take 6 weeks for them to ship, and/or they will delete items that now are out of stock 6 weeks later shipping you 1 or 2 items and cancelling your "filler" to make it worth the $15 price.
All the time homedepot.com has offered the same or recently better prices and you could get it same day or within 2 days for free shipping/pickup from orders of magnitude more locations and not deal with their shenanigan's.
The only way I will look at DTO now is with a free shipping deal or 35%+ off a whole class of items. But when they do that, their web site inevitably goes down and you can't browse, add to cart or especially check out; and it's all wasted time. Time IS money regardless of being a slick deal or not. DTO has priced, policy'd and performed themselves out of the competition for a large number of us that have all but given up on them.
Could turn out to be a pretty good deal on Ridgid factory blems with a little effort. Just have to want/need the right tools at the right price. $80 off $200 could work out pretty well....
Two 4Ah battery @ $79.99 Simultaneous dual port charger $99.99 Portable USB adapter $24.99
$139.96 (includes shipping) plus tax

You can probably replace the bar and chain to make it 16".
Oh? That's an interesting idea I didn't know was possible. Might make me buy the 14" and see if that's big enough for my usage if I can upgrade it 16" later. Thanks! Repped.
How's this 40V 14" Chainsaw kit plus filler for $120? Would like 16" but this seems like a good price.
To help a bit more, I can confirm that you can upgrade this to a 16" bar and chain. Would recommend upgrading the chain to a .050 kerf too, it makes a very noticeable difference in cutting speed/efficiency.

Agreed. A flat 15 is stupid when you're buying a 40 dollar tool.

I paid $103+tax for that with just the tool back in June, so 120 with a 4 ah battery seems pretty solid to me. I love the chainsaw, took it camping a couple times this summer and it was perfect.
So I've been eyeing a $300+ Ryobi tool with batteries included that doesn't seem to go on sale at HD. The Factory Blemished version is the same exact price on DTO but this deal seems like it'll reduce it by $65 (netting shipping against the discount.) Based on the info on DTO website it seems like it will carry the same warranty as the Brand New version from HD, is that correct?
This seems like a no-brainer, right?

So don't do that. Paying $15 shipping for one cheap item is rarely a deal. But combine lots of items into one order and it's still only $15.
But with DTO you can't trust them.
