Yeah it's the lowest, but it has sat at this price for a month or so. Debating still M1 for $120 more than the lowest price on the new iPads.

They are really not comparable. I have a 9th gen iPad and this iPad Air. The M1 is much more powerful than the A-line chips. The Air is more like a notebook replacement whereas the iPad 10 is just a tablet. Even though you can couple both with keyboards, the iPad Air would practically become a Mac whereas the iPad 10 would basically be more like a Chromebook. With that comparison in mind, the iPad Air needs to charge more often than the iPad 10 likely will based on my experience with the Air and iPad 9. So depending on what your use case is should determine whether you want to spend the extra $120 on Air 5 or iPad 10. Also, the Air 4 is a good option if you're considering the iPad 10 as they are very similar devices.

I decided on the 10 as I don't need it for productivity and mostly use my 7th gen for gaming on trips with downtime. That one already runs fast for anything I've thrown at it so this was more future-proofing and refresh just for fun.

Sure, that's a better deal, but also only available to about 6% of the US Population. The other 94% are not able to purchase through your link, unless they have a friend or family member in that other 6% that they feel comfortable saying "Hey, can I take advantage of the benefits you receive for actively defending our country while I played at home on my iPad?"

Not a good deal. BJ's was selling them for $499 colors varied on stock. I;ve see BJ Free trial and membership cheap.
