I will be picking up this oscillating tool kit to round out my collection and upgrade from an older 12V Craftsman Nextec oscillating saw.
Notes:
- Lowe's lists this tool kit at $169 right now.
- They list the bare tool at $79.
- Amazon indicates this tool is brushless under "Special Feature". I don't believe this to be true as Lowe's indicates the tool is brushed.

Their brushless oscillating tool came out this year and the model # is CMCE565B (bare tool) or
CMCE565D1 (Kit with 1 battery).
CMCE501D1 is the newer version. It has slightly more power. 20,000 rpm. It's also on sale in a kit on Amazon for $15 more.

The v20 line is all around solid. It's usually the best buy with the sales.
I do have many of these Craftsman V20 tools. I would argue that they're an unbeatable value when purchased on clearance.
My understanding, and one of the big reasons I started purchasing the V20 line, is that they are made by, and are variants of, DeWalt's cordless tools. From my experience, DeWalt makes a robust, high-quality tool. The Craftsman variants seem to be no exception to this.

It shows the DeWalt Packout Bluetooth Speaker and the Craftsman equivalent (which I own). It is clear they're almost exactly the same aside.
I highly recommend the Craftsman V20 cordless tools.
