Jesus. Why do these people show up under every non-120-hz-or-higher laptop. Same for people who ask for touchscreens. Insufferable
Not everyone needs a high refresh rate screen for what they do on a laptop. And touchscreen is not very useful for most keyboard-based workflows.
If anything, MOST people don't need high rehash rate on a laptop screen, and don't need a touch screen. Just look for one that has those features of you have such a need.

Hmm. I think there's a difference. Both people are insufferable for sure, but I think that 120hz and touchscreen have different use cases. 120hz makes everything feel smoother when using a screen, that's why every new phone is marketed with a "pro motion" or "high refresh" screen. Many people can benefit from it, and it doesn't add too much to the price of the device. (Unless you're Apple and every upgrade is pricey)
Of course most people would prefer higher color accuracy and 60hz, but 120hz is also appreciated.
A touchscreen is different, as that adds significantly more to the price of laptop and not everyone prefers or uses it. Mac's and Gaming laptops don't have touchscreens because they're not as useful to everyone, and would make less profit and sell less units if they did.

Because a 120hz screen is smoother in general. Scrolling, mouse, everything. It's not even just a gaming thing. For producivity I prefer a 120hz screen over a 60hz screen. The only time that doesn't hold true is with OLED because of the difference in technology. OLED at 60 will appear smoother than an LCD at 60 because there's no backlight strobe and it's an instantaneous response time. Downside is judder is far more noticeable in 24p videos without frame interpolation.
If you're good with 60 that's great, but it's legit old tech that shouldn't be on a modern laptop that's $1,000 on sale.

They should just stick a 1650 in instead, and sell it for a lower price. I don't see the point of having a 3060 with a 60hz display. It's not just for gaming. Fast motion would benefit from a higher refresh rate, no?

This is not a gaming laptop.
