These are definitely not garbage by any stretch of the imagination. I have two of these installed in my car with a good amp and a ported box. Good clean clear bass, for $29 these are an absolute STEAL and will do well with whatever task you put them up too. When I purchased these in 2020 I thought I would try them out and if they were garbage I would just sell them on offer up and buy some better subs, boy have these things really impressed me. But by all means be my guest if you wanna pay $400 for some name brand competition sub and have to install an extra battery in your car. These are more than capable for 70% of the people out there.

These are definitely not garbage by any stretch of the imagination. I have two of these installed in my car with a good amp and a ported box. Good clean clear bass, for $29 these are an absolute STEAL and will do well with whatever task you put them up too. When I purchased these in 2020 I thought I would try them out and if they were garbage I would just sell them on offer up and buy some better subs, boy have these things really impressed me. But by all means be my guest if you wanna pay $400 for some name brand competition sub and have to install an extra battery in your car. These are more than capable for 70% of the people out there.

Thank you for posting this - it helped me make my decision. Now, since I'm kind of ignorant about subwoofers, could you share what amp and box you are using? I got a lot to learn about this now Smilie

What amp and box to go with this? I wish it was an 8" with 400wrms. I don't need to be loud. Just some clean bass.

Already posted the box a few replies ago. Watch a few Williston labs audio channel on YT for amp recommendations. He runs them on a dyno to see how they're actually perform 👌🏼

Been pounding on 2 of these hooked to an old school fosgate bd1000 amp. I have abused them for long periods of time. So far so good for a cheap set of subwoofers.

Bought for $25 a while back… been slamming it with my 25yo 500 watt soundstream amp for a while. Not going to lie I was skeptical. I had a kicker comp and a Old Jl w3 and I blew both of those with my 500 watt amp.. haven't pushed this super hard but it's still holding strong and sounds good. I wasn't expecting that. Definitely worth the money. I may buy another to replace this when I blow it up.

I bought these last time. Buy them.
I custom made my Home Theater dual opposed 18" subs and Birch cabinet years ago. This would cost well over $1,200 now to make.

You can get somewhat close to the same visceral performance buying 4 of these, throwing them in flatpacks or car dual sub ported cabinets, and hooking up a Behringer amp or two to them.

Would I swap my subs or a Monoprice sub to these? No. Would I be completely blown away still with two dual car boxes of these subs off a Behringer amp for home theater over just about any other commercial subs near the same overall price point? Absolutely.
