I really don't see this as a sale - same price as it's been all year and I've checked every month.

This is the only way I buy KU - just gift it to myself once a year.

just fyi, some chase cards have a 20% cashback offer (up to $6) on kindle unlimited. I had the offer on my freedom unlimited card, but won't know if the credit will apply. Still, it seems like the pending charge is for "Kindle Unltd" so it should work.

not a huge savings, but still $6

Can you tell me how you do that? Say your KU membership is due to renew 12/21/22- when would you activate this gifted Kindle sub? 12/20? Could you even activate it while you still have an active sub?

Just purchase and redeem it immediately. It will add it to your current subscription and start on the date the current one is scheduled to end.
