I have a samsung refrigerator going on 11 years old. No issues.
My parents had a Samsung and had the problem listed in this class action. Basically the ice maker got ok much ice and water leaked out all their hardwood floor. Insurance paid for everything, but took nearly 2 months to get everything back to normal. Had to replace floors, cabinets, and island in their kitchen.

I also worked at Best Buy when I was younger, I'd guess half the people who came in looking for washers were replacing their Samsung front loader washing machines.

They make some good stuff, appliances isn't one of them.

Ok. When my 10 year old Samsung washer and dryer and my 15 year old Samsung refrigerator break I'll try and remember your words of wisdom.

For every one of your reviews you get one of mine:
I got black Friday Samsung stove, microwave, washer, dryer, fridge and GE dishwasher... guess which one died first! (Yup GE) then 6 years in we got a full refund for the fridge ($3.5k cash from the ice maker class action) searched all over but the wife couldnt find anything better than the same Samsung Flex. so we are now 3 years in with a 5 year warranty and no problems yet.

Samsung fridge are a piece of crap. Ice maker Will stop working, the twin cooling stops
Their washer too. If you can get 5 years out of it, you are lucky. I have some LG stuff actually work better than Samsung.

My Korean appliances seem to last too long.
Weird. I expect appliances to last my lifetime. Would be hard for me to find one lasting too long.

Lg makes a decent fridge, but it is the compressor that keeps breaking. Samsung is very hit or miss, but the other brands are following that trend as well.

Spare us this useless thread-crapping garbage post, unless you back it up with some substance.

So what DO you recommend then, given that all refrigerators have terrible reviews these days… ??

Terrible fridge. I would recommend either sub-zero, Viking, or ZLINE
Really? I have never heard of these brand as good consumer appliances

I don't have problems with LG or Samsung washer, dryers, TVs, etc. But for some reason they have not figured out the fridges. And even if you have them under warranty it can be a nightmare getting them fixed!

DO NOT buy a Samsung appliance - you have been warned. Buy their speakers, phones and TV's. All good. But their Appliances are the worst. Just call a service repair guy and tell them you have a Samsung to fix. They will tell you. Good luck!
