Buyer beware - Dell offers the worst customer service in this world! I ordered an Alienware R10 at the beginning of October - they held my payment for longer than a month while kept delaying the shipment till the end they canceled my order despite their order support, care and order alternation departments all told me a lie about they would do whatever it took to fulfill my order, WHAT A LIAR! My story is not a one-off scenario, you should be prepare yourself to go through non-stopping troubles whenever any basic customer service is needed in future. Stay away from Dell!

Plus this Alienware prebuild is not even deal. I ended up build mine in DIY using components purchased from Microcenter and Neweggs.com -the best bang for the buck!

Two websites that serve as cheat sheets for performance are these:

CPU: https://www.cpubenchmark.net/high_end_cpus.html
GPU: https://www.videocardbenchmark.ne..._gpus.html

Look at the CPU model number and Video card model number. This will give you a great feel of performance. Personally I would go with this Alienware CPU over the MSI. Gimmicky RGB fans cheap'n the look of cases.

As someone who owns an Alienware R12, I would not buy an Alienware pre-built again. The thing has no airflow.

This has a 460PSU air cooled.... not exactly awesome. Confirmed with Dell chat just now.

Air cooling leads to high temp and crazy fan noise, not recommended

I can vouch for this as I had a 5150 laptop overheat after it was fixed from a recall. I was on the phone for 3 hours before getting called a liar and them finally saying they would fix the laptop if it was on them.

I had to send a certified mail with my complain to their head of business at one time after I ran out of options with the regular support. Then the laptop was replaced within a week.

This is absolutely true. Current day Dell products are so shit quality that you will 85% certain have to use their support and Dell support is more painful than passing a kidney stone while getting a root canal.

Never ever ever. Alienware = cheap Dell chassis covered in useless plastic to make it look like it's not just some garbage-tier Dell underneath.

...but of course it is 100% garbage-tier Dell underneath.

This deal, along with a certain cash back site, is $200 less than the Costco deal.
