I think there's a statistic that the best deals are before black friday. black friday deals are kinda garbage items that get you in the door in my experience. slickdeals happen at 2am from a price mistake 😏

I learned from another comment that Costco insurance does not cover burn in. Just FYI

Forgive me for asking, but are you certain it's burn-in, and not just image retention?

Back in the day, I used a plasma for gaming and noticed image burn-in after a while, which the set's built-in fixer didn't fix after a couple of days running it. So I passed the set to my parents who wouldn't have noticed the problem at all. Sure enough, it was just image retention, which had disappeared about a year later after giving it away.
Im a previous plasma owner. They are two totally different things from what I understand. The plasma gets a burn in(image retention) from constant displaying the same image for a long time. The OLED gets burn in from the actual same pixels being used. So the super bright red youtube logo on the app is in the same place all the time so even having the screen dim after 5 minutes going back to the youtube menu to pick the next video is using the pixels over and over again causing decay.

I grabbed a G2 77 for 2900 no tax.. I only upgrade TV's every 6-7 years
An interesting comparison here. The G2 compared to the B2 is better in a couple of categories but equal in others.https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/c...shold=0.10 Main differences in HDR movies and gaming. It's hard to know how much weight to give to a 1-3 point difference in their rating scheme.

Will black Friday offer a better deal? Any thoughts?
Last year all the best mid to high end tv deals happened before BF.

The main reasons I spent the extra $$$ on the G2 was the direct from LG 5 Year burn in warrantee better construction and the inclusion of an ATSC 3.0 tuner and finally the built in OLED heat sink..

Shopping for a TV after a long time and looking for some advice. Looking for 85"+ and have selected Samsung QN95B which after employee discount and 2yr free care comes out to be $2638. Any other equivalent from Sony or LG that beats Samsung QLED picture quality or you prefer?

It's sitting in the cart and really debating on whether I should pull the trigger or not. Blippi and Micki are going to look way better on this 😂

For the $500 price difference at this point, is the c2 worth that much more?
