these cheap phones are great to keep at in the car, at work, or in your bag just in case for emergencies. just remember to at least use them about once a month to keep them active else they could go inactive and then game over.

Yes. If you wait 60 days before transferring the minutes/airtime and haven't added 4+ lines to your account already, you'll also get 10k points per line. 20k points is worth much more than 120 (60*2) days of airtime, so that's usually the way to go (plus then you can unlock the phones and make them more useful as a donation if you just care about the airtime.)

I am a current Tracfone user and my minutes/data will expire in Dec. Is it possible for me to buy this, transfer my number, and then carry over my minutes/data for another year? Thank you.

Also, is this on Verizon network? My current phone is GSM via AT&T network. Am I still able to use my current phone, if this doesn't come with a SIM card?

All Tracfone bundles come with SIMs. This bundle is Verizon. Verizon bought Tracfone and is slowly moving everyone off AT&T. I'm not sure if you can transfer minutes across networks.

Generally when redeeming points for a discount phone Tracfone requires you to purchase a plan, cheapest is $10 with autopay enabled. But occasionally they remove this requirement.

Caution: The promo code HSN2022 may not stick after you click submit order. It appeared in my cart but the order invoice did not include the discount. A quick chat and rep refunded the $20.

Also, SOME states tax on the original price ($49.99), others on the discounted price. so final totals for people may differ.

im in the same boat with mine expiring a couple of months into next year, but im pretty sure that when you are forced to change networks you lose your banked minutes.

I thought Tracfone went away from ATT network 2-3 years ago. How can you still be on it?
I think you should be able to merge and keep your minutes. You can chat with them to make sure.

I don't really know. I guess that I extended my expiration date to this Dec two years ago with two bundle cards. Tracfone does frequently send me message and asks me to migrate to Verizon though. I just keep ignoring them.

If you phone works on Verizon, I would recommend you to migrate to Verizon network. Then you will not have any issue when merging 2 phone #.
