these cheap phones are great to keep at in the car, at work, or in your bag just in case for emergencies. just remember to at least use them about once a month to keep them active else they could go inactive and then game over.

Yes. If you wait 60 days before transferring the minutes/airtime and haven't added 4+ lines to your account already, you'll also get 10k points per line. 20k points is worth much more than 120 (60*2) days of airtime, so that's usually the way to go (plus then you can unlock the phones and make them more useful as a donation if you just care about the airtime.)

Can I use one phone for my account and one for my husband's account? They are both Tracfone, then switch back to our current phones that day? Do I switch the sim cards or just reactivate the current phones?

Just use a new SIM instead. Tracfone SIM cards are $1 with free shipping if you look on eBay and sort by price. Make sure you purchase the CDMA flavor of Tracfone SIM. Then you just chat with support to change the SIM card on your account. In that same chat you can provide them with the IMEI of the device you want to use with the new SIM card. So long as the other phone is unlocked or Tracfone branded you're good. When you are sure the SIM and phone are working properly wait a day or two and log into your Tracfone account on their website and remove the previous device from your account. Removing the previous device is optional but highly recommend doing so.

Used paypal for my order and it shows $60.22 "pending" order. Did print out the receipt showing the discount when order was placed so hopefully it's just a glitch otherwise will have to either deal with HSN CS or file dispute with paypal if total won't adjust to lower after order has been fulfilled.

Never added a new line to my Tracfone account so getting the 20,000 rewards points should be entirely possible for me. The 2 new phones plus adding 20 months and 2400/2400/2400 are worth the price to me even if the reward points fail to materialize for some odd reason. Getting the 20 months of service + 2400/2400/2400 + the rewards points is absolutely a slick deal! woot

What is the best method to merge the minutes/texts/data to my primary line once the rewards points have been credited to my account? Just use the chat on their website and choose the option for technical support?

chatted with hsn cs and they said "What you are seeing is a High Authorization. When the order was placed the item was most likely on sale or discounted. This could result in a slightly different amount on the Authorization. When the amount goes from pending to settled it will be for the correct amount"

I am sorry. But I still don't get it. I would be a new Tracfone user with a new account. What are the exact steps for me to make the most amount of points ? My understating is that the max point I can earn since I am new to tracefone is 15k.

My understanding on the steps having read the entire thread is as follows:

1. Get the phones from HSN
2. Create a single new account with a top tier referral code found through Google
3. Active one phone and earn 5k points
4. Active another phone through chat and earn additional 10k point
5. After 60 days, if you wish to combine the balance, you may do so resulting in combined balance on a single line plus getting 2 years out of that single line.

Did I get all that correctly ?

I believe if you already have a line you dont have to wait 60 days. Just add both lines and get 10000 points for each

This also should suffice the 60 days minimum to unlock the phones.

Or am I missing something?
