That's also 20% more money at these prices! I'd go with the crucial if you actually need an SSD right now to use but if you don't really need one and just want to buy one cheap to have laying around in the closet, this PNY isn't bad lol.

The peak performance numbers is not the whole picture. These comes with a fast cache and slow flash when the cache is exhausted. Always look at a review for a big picture.

Many tech reviews I read/watch are too quick to give an out-of-the-box opinion with little or no consideration of the longer term. That said, this is a good price for what it is; I've always had good luck with PNY stuff going back 20 years. At this point, with prices where they are, I'd advise anyone to aim for 1TB with DRAM irrespective of the price unless they know for sure that less will meet their needs. This is especially the case for laptops with just one drive.

The 2TB version is $117 after coupon. Which is $50 cheaper than then P3. real deal here is the 2TB version
