We have one similar for a 60" inch TV and I was very impressed with the build quality. I was expecting very thin flimsy type material but was suprised to see it looked and felt solid being put together. The only thing I was worried about was potential sag in the top due to tv weight on it. So far no sign of wear after a year. Tvs are lighter now. The fireplace alone was worth the price for us. Just the ambience from the light is nice while watching movies at night, especially in the fall/winter. The fireplace gives off a decent amount of heat to keep our living area 15x15 room warm. If we are going to be just in there we actually turn the heat off in the house and just use that while we hang out. It gets warm enough where we tend to turn the fireplace heat on and off as it gets too warm sometimes.

Might not look all that but is the heater decent at least? (For a 12×12 room)

You could also just throw $160 in a bonfire once per year.

FYI, the product page says 50,000 BTUs, which is mathematically impossible for a 15A/120V heater. Probably more like 5,000. Good for "up to" 400sqft.

I think the 50,000 BTU specification is for when it starts on fire.

I have a similar one of these off Amazon that I bought last year. I really like it — mine matches the espresso color. I wouldn't rely on it to heat a living room, but maybe a small bedroom. I think the light colors look bad, but the darker ones look nice. The one I have let's you turn on the flames without the heat source, so it's cozy for my bedroom.

I wish it didn't have the top slots for TV equipment but just a mantle instead. I'd get it as fireplace decor.

Very shallow. Not good for a home theater setup, but could be good for someone using a sound bar and Roku, etc.

If I can't get one that fits my system, i'm considering a smaller, wall mountable fireplace just for something to help go to sleep.

I have a similar one bought from Costco, now the fire place itself doesn't work properly, not sure how much it costs to fix it.

I was going to buy the espresso, but came back and it the price went up, not really a great deal anymore, more average.

I wish that espresso color wasn't back up to $230. For $160, I'd take a chance. Given the reviews, over $200 is too much for a possible bad build quality or delivery damage. Too bad.
