That doesn't fix the problem he addressed. The issue is that a 1lbs. tank doesn't last through the night, so you have to get up in the middle of the night and mess with relighting the heater. A 5lbs. or 20lbs. tank fixes that.

Just a heads up, I use a Mr. Buddy heater but if you use these in a tent or van then monitor for Carbon Monoxide. They can also cause condensation due to the propane.

Almost exactly the same as the big buddy. I bought this last year to keep a 10p tent warm for the kids. My wife and I were so hot we slept on top of our sleeping bags, kids were toasty and night temps were mid 40s.

Biggest thing I would note is that this isn't super practical with the 1lb tanks, you'll run out fast. Better to use a 20lb tank (less portable I know... but if your buying this then portability probanly isn't your #1 concern) as it will last 2-3 nights on high. You will need to buy a special hose for the 20lb tank though. Either you get a normal hose with a filter (these were oos everywhere last year) OR Mr buddy makes one that doesn't require the filter as it's specifically with materials that won't leech and clog the heater (SKU: F273704) https://www.mrheater.com/10ft-bud...embly.html

get the hose that doesn't need a filter, as filters need to be changed and run about $8 each. I have 2 big buddy's 2 dynaglo 360's (the small ones) and a Mr Heater 45,000 BTU 540 Degree Tank Top Heater. Customer service has been great with both companies. $70 for an 18,000BTU heater is a great price (new).

Mine are a little temperamental to fire up, especially with a hose, as you have to wait for the hose to purge air and then flow the propane into the heater, but it's no big deal. Also, the anti-tip switch can get stuck and prevent fire up but that's also easy to resolve. Tons of youtube videos on all these heaters.

If I needed one I'd buy a couple of them.

Sorry, I saw it from a slick deal. It must have been an old post, I reported it as expired.

Hit up Amazon for "Chinese diesel heaters" and there are a lot of YouTube videos on them. Much much better and safer than these Buddy heaters. No moisture (condensation all inside the tent.) and no open flame.

Good point... you can get the hose for alot cheaper than $45 Its a standard and not brand specific. In fact, the one that I have is actually better than this because it's braided. Here is the link:

PatioGem Propane Hose, 5FT Propane Adapter 1lb to 20lb, Propane Adapter Hose, Propane Tank Adapter, fit for Weber/Coleman/Blackstone Grill, Buddy Heater, Smoker, Griddle, Camping Stove, Fire Pit https://a.co/d/27BxuUV

Thanks for the link. The previous poster mentioned the Mr Buddy hose that doesn't require the filter as it's made specifically with materials that won't leech and clog the heater. Does the hose you linked "leach" oils into the Mr Buddy? Mr Buddy makes cheaper hoses, but I read they leach oils into the device without the filter. How many times have you used yours? I hate to pay 45.00 for a hose to a 70.00 heater. Any recommendation on a 10 ft hose?

This is a great deal, the price on a comparative one from mr heater is $220. I pulled the trigger, will be great for my 12x24 shed.

This is a pretty good deal because it's equivalent to the Big Buddy heater, which is the bigger Mr Heater model that can attach two 1lb bottles.

Not so good for a small tent though because these can put out a lot of heat fast. The portable Chinese diesel heaters that someone already mentioned would be a better option overall for tents, and safer too because you can leave it outside and run a hose inside. You get dry heat without the moisture that propane causes.

The diesel heaters can also be adjusted for altitude, which these propane heaters can't do. They cost about double the price of these small propane heaters, but easily make up the difference in a short amount of time because the 1lb propane cylinders cost a fortune and sometimes hard to find. Adding a propane hose to use the bigger tanks is an additional cost, but can lower the overall cost.

I've been considering a mr buddy for years, but recently saw this. Has a 99% efficient blue flame. Wonder if it would have the same condensation problem?

Do Chinese diesel heaters run without power?
