Nah, it's too close to BF so not this year. It should be $99 by next BF or close to it.

Correct. I bought it to put inside a fire-proof safe as a last resort backup of critical and hard to replace data (photo libraries, for instance).

No. That's not how soldering works.

Samsung has a higher IP rating I can see.
I believe it's just for dust. Water is the same rating.

I see this Samsung has about 3 feet mote of drop protection then Sandisk, but thr SanDisk does have a nice space for a key ring attachment.

I can't get the additional Samsung Education discount. Cart says, "Education discount Limit exceeded for following Items Portable SSD T7 Shield USB 3.2 2TB" Huh?!

Only black is pick up from BB… Blue is being shipped. I guess Samsung is arranging a pick up from their authorized reseller if they are out of stock.

I ordered blue from Samsung as it costs 142.49 with free shipping using EPP.

Its not like an HDD where drop=death, right?

Worse actually. Drop a standard hard drive you can save it. Drop a plain ssd, if any connectors damage it's useless.

Probably to save on shipping so they can clear local stock.

Rugged version is better or this one? Also, is the transfer speed same for both?

So the T7 is not shuckable and the T5 is, but it's mSATA.

nvme ARE ssds.

it's basically a cheap pcie ssd that doesn't match the speed of modern day nvmes.
