I got my turkey (19.9 lbs) for free with a $75 purchase at Safeway this week (good through Tuesday). While they can be more expensive than some, I like them for many reasons and buy things when they're on sale (including NY Strip steak for $5.97/lb). Plus, we have limited options for groceries around me. Wink

I found a deal for 39 cents a pound so I didnt bother with the app rebate but for what it is worth I dont believe you will get a MMer. I am pretty certain in years past it has been an "up to $14" kind of deal. So unless someone else chimes in, dont count on that extra $4.

We smoked two turkeys yesterday. On for my husband and one for some neighbors. The smoking goes well but this vegetarian had to take a couple of breaks during the carving Sick Shredding pork is so much faster and less gross. Dog was insanely happy last night though. LOL

How are the BF sales looking? I noticed Ulta is doing their big GWP sale starting today but I havent had a chance to look yet.

I'm trying to do that too, mostly because my hubby loves turkey. I'm not sure I'll make it though!

I am pretty sure I have gotten overage previously buying a smaller turkey than rebate. Thumbsup

I went back to Kroger and the butterball was likely a price mistake and the new stock in the bunker is 1.49lb. Wm is 1.18lb but mom will be going to jewel direction tomorrow and their ad says .99lb so we'll see if that works well.

Wm halloween/costumes were 90%, dog costumes were not included.

Also noted today, I had some customer relations $ on my Kroger card and the rebate was kicked out for any item I had with that. (I usually buy my app stuff on a single receipt )

Publix has their brand of turkey 49 cents/lb with no other purchase (this week and next week per ad preview). Butterball 99 cents/lb this week only.

Kroger has 49 cents/lb with a $25 purchase.

Hoping for a quick reply as I need to make a decision in a couple of hours.

Does anyone know the approximate cost of the veggie tray at Costco? And how many it serves?

I'm in Huntsville, AL. I went online to pickup today and shopped for you. Price was $14.50, 4 lbs, supposedly serves 16.

HLN did a news report on turkeys the other day. At several stores they mentioned, you could get a Thanksgiving meal for 4 for $40 - $50. None of those were anywhere near me. Other stores they mentioned, makings of a Thanksgiving meal for 4 were $85 - $95.

Don't you long for the days when stores had all kinds of holiday displays which had a great selection of coupons, rebates and other special offers. The times have changed!

Yes, I was happy to find the pillsbury tearpad $1 off 2 on halloween display. I think the Christmas type display had it too.

Out of curiosity, did Kellogg's sell off their club cracker brand? I've been looking for a sale on club crackers for over a month with no luck. Townhouse have been on sale several times, but never Club.

Just wondering why if they are both Kellogg's brands.

I would like other's opinion on the following: I routinely request coupons from Chobani. The company sends out a cute card with five to ten assorted coupons; some duplicate and some unique- ones. Each coupon comes with the wording 'one coupon per person'. The main grocery store in my town is Hy-Vee and they (especially the newer employees/managers) have started to read all the writing on every coupon (resulting in folks behind a coupon user even getting more frustrated/upset due to the time added).and using any wording to reject said coupon(s).

I can certainly understand based on this wording that only one of each unique coupon can be used per shopping trip but yesterday the manager insisted I could only use one coupon from Chobani. This happened when I tried to use one coupon for 75 cents off a product and one coupon for a free single serve product. I just said fine and took back the 75 cents off coupon as I've learned it's impossible to change her mind once she makes her decision. But I believe it should be okay to use two different coupons on two products which were a yogurt with fruit on the bottom and a Chobani flip yogurt.

What do others think?
