Its great as a gaming monitor but text can appear blurry, so not best as a productivity monitor. Lot of YouTube reviews if you want to check those.
What's the cause of blurry text?

Is the C2 42 the best tv for gaming? Need something setup in a bedroom with 7.5" viewing distance?
7.5', you're better off with 65", but I'd like 75" for better immersion. I have this 42" OLED and I sit 3" away at a computer desk.

Return and repurchase is going to be your only real bet. Just buy it first and return it when the new one comes.
Unfortunately, the 10% back is no longer showing so it may not be worth it.

Need to set to PC mode for text to appear clearly

People not setting it to PC mode, which allows 4:4:4 chroma subsampling.

Looking to get this 42" C2. Picked up a 48" A2 from Best Buy a couple of weeks ago but it's seems too big as a monitor (still in the box).

This Amazon deal has the extra 5% rewards when paying with an Amazon credit card. There are other sellers with extended warranties on Amazon but only the standard 5% rewards.

LG Partner's website has it for $833 plus 25 for shipping till the end of the month. I am hoping they drop the price another $100 after that. At that point I'll pull the trigger.

And if priced right they could not make them fast enough. Granted, that size would be catering to people as a monitor first; tv second.

At this price LG C2 42 is already the cheapest premium gaming monitor. Even compared to 32' widescreen OLEDs.

Have been eyeing this for a while. This may get me to pull the trigger with the additional 10% cash back with prime credit card. Can we tell if this one is using the new evo panel or the old one? I heard it's like a lottery.
I was wondering the same thing about the panel. I would purchase this now if I knew the panel situation
