The math checks out that this is probably like last years BF deal for the reliant tires, with free one-time mounting and balancing included ($12 per tire)

Savings of $128 is $80 for the tires, $48 for the labor... Which comes out to $12 a tire. Since it's $17 for lifetime balancing and rotation (now) , you'd pay the $5 balance x 4 to get it to $68 total for labor.

You can also pay $10 x 4 for road hazard, but IMO, when tires are this cheap (for my car at least), it almost isn't worth it... Just get a new tire for that $40.

If you get goodyear brand tires, goodyear stores will fix your flats for free even if you didn't buy it from them... That's usually the bulk of the road hazard coverage that I acrually use.

I have the reliants on my '13 prius... No issues at all. Very thick tread depth even after a year, and though my car isn't a hotrod by any measure, these have worked great through all types of weather. Haven't tested them in the winter as I switch to winter every January.

In past years these deals included mounting and lifetime balance. I will update the OP once the full terms are available on Walmart.com.

UPDATE: The banner which was shared multiple times in this thread clearly shows free install and balance. I had a chat with Walmart, and they stated it is a free one-time balance with the installation. If I wanted lifetime balance, then I must pay extra. I contacted my local Walmart, and they confirmed this, and said they are doing free installs and one time balance up to and including Sunday November 27th.

Click the link below and look at post #342 for a screenshot showing free install and balance if you have a problem at the Walmart installation center.

I was able to purchase with delivery to my house since my local store doesn't allow installation. Firestone said it would be $100 to install outside tires- not a bad deal overall.
The weird thing was I don't have Walmart+ but was able to purchase

oh, we all can purchase them with home delivery, it is the installation that we are trying to get for free

Just ordered a set of the reliants, and was able to schedule installation for this coming Saturday at 9am at my local warehouse (commack ny)

If this goes like last year, what will happen is that you can just go in and get them installed and pay nothing more, or if you want lifetime rotation/installation, pay an extra $5 (it was an extra $4 last year) per tire. You can also pay an extra $10 per tire for road hazard.

But again, you can pay NOTHING more, and get them installed, and be done with it. If you are comfortable with your own rotations and nothing else, you can just not pay anything else.

Just ordered the Goodyear Reliant 215/50-17 for pickup and I scheduled installation for Friday the 18th. For installation you need to select a Walmart with an Auto Center. I live in a large city but still there are only a few with Auto Centers unless you want to drive 40 miles. I had set up the order at 1pm today but there still was a restriction for Walmart+ members only. I read here and on Walmart that general customers had to wait until 7pm to place an order so I ran out to do some errands and got back at 4: Went to the Walmart site and refreshed and the promotion was now available to all but it flagged my order screen to schedule another appointment. Went to do this and got the denial that many have been given that the tires were available for shipping only. So I changed to a different location and then I could schedule for a pickup and an installation. Then I decided to go to Be..ugel coupon site which is offering 6% off automotive and that bounced me to a new linked Walmart page. My order setup was still there but now a new popup again showed that it was available for shipping only. So I reset my store location back to the first one I had which I preferred as it is closer, and sure enough the page now showed it was available for pickup again. I just had to go to checkout and there was my order with the same installation time on Friday. I submitted the order, got the acknowledgment from Walmart, and now I am waiting for the actual confirmation. I presume the appt. time does not really matter as they take customers in order as they appear. Will call tomorrow to confirm anyhow. Guess I will be spending my entire Friday afternoon at Walmart. I will bring a lunch.
They cancelled my order as they do not have 4 tires in my size available, although Walmart online shows that they do. Ordered for shipping and to arrive on Saturday. Put a 3 day hold on my credit card so I had to use a different one.

Does anyone have a link on where the details for the free installation are? I don't see where it says free installation? It says up to $128 off?

There seems to be no free installation and balancing. Walmart chat says that it is not free.

In my place walmart auto service is atleast 30 miles away and there also the appointment is not available. Is there a chain which installs the tires at a reasonable price ? I am in Massachusetts

I had no issue, shipped to store, got an install time, and receipt said free installation. Did it last year without an issue too.

The Goodyear Outlast are a better tire than the Reliant. The Reliant is just a newer Viva tire renamed.

So spend a little more and get a whole lot better tire with the Outlast.

Where exactly did it say it had free installation? I purchased some, sent them to the store, and scheduled an appointment for installation, but my email confirmation said , "Installation fees are $17 to $27 per tire and you'll pay at the Auto Care Center after your service."

For those asking about the install go here...

https://www.walmart.com/shop/deals/auto

Only thing I see is free balance. So maybe not 100% free install but do not let them charge full price. Print the page before you go and look at the ticket before you pay.

"Get $20 off per tire, plus free balancing ($128 value)."
